MacBook AirやMac miniは、再インストール用のディスクがない代わりに、不可視のリカバリー領域を用意していて、「command」＋「option」＋「R」キーで起動すれば再インストールを実行できる。
さらに内蔵ディスクが壊れて、このリカバリー領域が読み込めない状態になっても、最低限のOSで起動して残りのファイルはインターネットからダウンロードできる。つまり、何があっても起動するってのがスゴい。
